Flex with robust no-code functionality equals Sharetribe

Over the past one-and-a-half years, we’ve added a lot of no-code features to Sharetribe Flex, working towards a completely new kind of marketplace solution. The result: the new Sharetribe. Here’s what’s new.

The Console navigation of Flex has been redesigned to make marketplace operation easier.

  • Go to your marketplace at any point by clicking the "Go to your marketplace" in the top bar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sharetribe Flex is an earlier Sharetribe product, a headless marketplace solution that preceded the current Sharetribe. Unlike Sharetribe, which you can use to launch a marketplace without any coding, Flex always required some custom development to launch. It offered the essential marketplace features out of the box, on top of which a developer would code unique design and custom features. Sharetribe offers all this as well but also a powerful no-code marketplace builder you can use to build the first version of your platform without coding.

Sharetribe’s earlier products, Sharetribe Go and Sharetribe Flex, were tools for founders at different stages in their marketplace journey. Go was a way to create a marketplace quickly and without coding. Flex allowed you to build a fully custom marketplace faster and cheaper than building a similar platform from scratch. Over time, we noticed that many of our customers were between these two stages: needing customization beyond what Go offered but not quite ready to take on a custom Flex development project. The new Sharetribe bridges the gap between Go and Flex. You can launch quickly without coding but also add custom features or change your design. Without changing platforms or migrating data.

Your marketplace will continue to work normally. No action is required from you as result of this launch.

The pricing for Flex users remains as is. Your plan is now called Sharetribe Extend. It includes all of Sharetribe Flex’s functionality plus the new no-code builder. The price is unchanged: $299/month (billed annually) and $369/month (billed monthly). As a part of this launch, we’ve changed the names of the Sharetribe pricing plans. We added new plans to better suit the needs of early-stage marketplace founders who don’t need to customize their marketplace through code.

If you have a Flex account, you're already working with the new Sharetribe! If you want a completely new, empty marketplace, though, you can create a new account free of charge. You need to create it under a different email from your original Flex account. You automatically get a 14-day free trial of the Build plan, after which you can subscribe, starting at $39/month. You only need a live plan, starting at $99/month, once you’re ready to invite actual users.
