I’m using a cheap VPS, $50/year. I coach you through setting up ShareTribe, including fixing issues with image hosting, emails, Stripe, auto-renewing SSL scripts, and more. The stack is ShareTribe + HAProxy, as well as a little Let’s Encrypt gravy. I configure Adminer and SystemD as well for debugging and uptime galore.
