Standalone Sharetribe - problem with Google Maps

Hello,

We have an issue with using Google Maps on our standalone sharetribe configuration. I followed the suggestion posted here : Google Maps load issue - Sharetribe Go Community Edition - Sharetribe Community Forum

  • Generated Google API Key
  • Added it into communities table as well as config.defaults.yml
  • bounced the service

… and nothing. Still getting a grey area on Google maps page.

I checked the sharetribe backend syslog , and there is no errors there.

Any suggestions on what might have gone wrong ? Or where to debug this ?

OK , that was quick :slight_smile: After further googling enabling of below APIs on our GCP project solved to problem:

  • GeocodingAPI (missing originally)
  • Maps Embed API (missing originally - this enables viewing maps on product page)
  • PlacesAPI
  • MapsJavaScriptAPI
