Discount code on marketplace

Hi guys,

I am are running the Sharetribe marketplace Tumlino, and I am very pleased with the possibilities of Sharetribe - such a great product.

However I am missing the possibility of making “Discount codes”, for marketing purposes.

  1. Does anyone has experience implementing that feature to a ST-marketplace?
  2. Any information whether Sharetribe plans to add this feature in the near future?

This is Mo. I have worked on several features in Tumlino as you know.

Glad to hear that you are satisfied with Sharetribe in general.

  1. Regarding discount code, we have implemented such a solution to several of our clients.
  2. As far as I know, there is no such plan in the roadmap, but let me check and come back to you.

This is not something we are working on right now, but good to hear that you’d be interested. It seems that some people have built a similar feature already so hopefully they’ll share their code with the Community.

This would be a great feature. My clients are asking for this as well.

@Sarbanharble Thanks for letting us know! We no longer maintain Sharetribe Go, but adding support for discount codes is something that can be customized with code into our new marketplace builder, the new Sharetribe. If this is key for a marketplace project, our new product is definitely the best way to build support for this!
