By default, all visitors (including non-signed-in users) can view listings and user profiles on your marketplace. However, you can make your marketplace private, which hides listings and user profiles from anyone who isn’t registered or logged in. This can be useful if you want to preserve privacy or keep your marketplace content, including listings and user profiles, hidden from public view.
How to make your marketplace private
You can make your marketplace private by going to the Build section of your Console, General → Access control. When this feature is enabled, only signed-in users can view listings and other user profile pages on the marketplace.
Experience from the end user's perspective
When you make your marketplace private, end users will still be able to view static content pages like your landing page, About Us, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. However, if they try to access the listing search page, individual listings, or user profiles, they will be redirected to the signup page. You can also combine this with the feature that allows you to approve users who join your marketplace.
