Learn how to manage, edit, and browse review data in Console

Reviews given at the end of a transaction will be displayed in your Console, which has admin tools and views to help you understand, edit, and manage your marketplace reviews.

You can view your marketplace review data in Manage > Reviews.

Below, you can learn more about the admin capabilities available in Console.

Viewing and modifying data

You have the ability to manage reviews within your marketplace by:

  • Editing the rating: You can edit the review's rating by clicking on the edit icon, and clicking on the rating field to adjust it.

  • Editing the text content: You can edit the text of a review by clicking on the edit icon, clicking on the Review field and modifying the text as needed.

  • Deleting a review: You can delete a review by clicking on the three dots on the review card. This action is irreversible and permanently removes it from your marketplace, making it invisible to users.

Review ID: This is a unique identifier for the user, automatically generated when their account is created. It cannot be modified.

Events: This is an advanced tool designed for developers to query and retrieve historical data about a Review. It utilizes the Sharetribe Command Line Interface (CLI) to access a comprehensive record of a review's activities within the marketplace.

Exporting data

You can download your review data in a .csv file format. This can be useful if you need to perform operations or analysis that are not possible directly within the Console. For example, exporting your review data enables you to perform in-depth analyses, such as calculating the average ratings for a listing.

Shortcut links

While reviews cannot be directly searched in Console, you can use shortcut links to locate reviews based on associated users (either customer or provider), the specific listing, or transactions:

Customer: Clicking on this link takes you to the manage users page, where you can view the specific user who acted as the customer in the transaction related to the review.

Provider: Clicking on this link takes you to the manage users page, where you can view the specific user who acted as the provider in the transaction related to the review.

Listing title: Clicking on this link takes you to the manage listings page, where you can view the specific listing involved in the transaction related to the review.

Transaction: Clicking on this link takes you to the manage transactions page, where you can view the specific transaction related to the review.

Reviews are added as part of a transaction on your marketplace. By default, only Calendar booking and Purchase transactions include reviews; Free messaging transactions do not.
